TITLE:                       Department Chair - Counseling

CLASSIFICATION:     Extra Duty - Certified Position

PAY RANGE:              Pay according to Extra Duty Salaries / Ancillary Duties Schedule

REPORTS TO:            Building Principal

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Facilitates the development of a counseling program that promotes the academic, college/career, and   personal/social   development of students.
•  Keeps current with school counseling research and best practices.
•  Plans and leads department meetings for systemic improvement of the school counseling program. 
•  Leads the department in the collection, analysis, and response to data.
•  Assists with creation of the master schedule.
•  Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or other designee.

 The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
