CLASSIFICATION: Operational Support Staff
PAY GRADE 13: $18.54 - $19.64 hourly (based on education and experience)
LENGTH: 8 hours daily / 260 days yearly
REPORTS TO: Food & Nutrition Services Director
SUMMARY: Provides bookkeeping accounting services for Food Service department; prepares related reports; and coordinates purchasing of food and food service supplies for the district schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma
- Experience of (3) or more years in administrative, accounting/bookkeeping or secretarial position in a similar sized school district or equivalent setting required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes account payables and receivables for food service department; produces related reports and audit.
- Acts as treasurer for extracurricular school lunch accounts at all district schools.
- Compiles and maintains inventory reports; plans, schedules and assists in Central Warehouse inventory levels; coordinates product disbursements and purchasing.
- Ensures and verifies adherence to food purchasing procedures by Food Service Managers; oversees food purchasing.
- Assists Food Service Managers with resolving food purchasing and inventory issues related to quality, quantity or recalls.
- Monitors and assures vendor compliance regarding product evaluation, specifications, price quotes, delivery and installation schedules of food and supplies.
- Coordinates, schedules and processes USDA commodity purchases; prepares and maintains purchase orders.
- Prepares annual financial report for State Dept of Education.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Food & Nutrition Services Director and/or other designee.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
