Job Title:            Secretary, Student Support Services

Classification:    Hourly (Non-Exempt) - 215 Days/Year

Pay Range 10:   $16.89 to $17.99 (based on education and experience)

Reports to:         Director of Student Support Services

 Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma and 2 years office experience.
  • College course work or degree in Business or a related field (desired).
  • Must be able to type and handle various types of correspondence.
  • Be proficient in use of office computer technology including word processing and data base applications to include Word, Excel, Access, and Google;

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to school psychologists with complete initial referral files in a timely fashion.
  • Assemble and provide referral packets to schools with disability specific protocols.
  • Receive and process referrals in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain accurate log of all initial referrals for statistical data.
  • Maintain a current status log of initial referrals by psychologist.
  • Request required referral data not received from schools, notify other professions/therapists of related referrals, request 2nd measures of achievement from academic evaluators.
  • Finalize and print evaluation reports and send to schools/parents and send evaluation-completion letter to parents.
  • Assemble IEP packets/folders for psychologists and pre-school coordinator.
  • Contact person for Contracted Initial Referral Psychologists and Achievement Evaluators (coordinate distribution of referrals and receive reports/assessments) and maintain data-base for status of referrals.
  • Assemble initial referral statistics for Student Support Services Director.
  • Order assessment needs (tests/protocol) for psychologists.
  • Assist with data collection for Continuous Improvement Monitoring.
  • Enters referral information into District Data Sytem and Powerschool.
  •  
    Enters Re-evaluations into the District Data system.
  •  
    Upload re-evaluation information into Indiana IEP system.
  •  
    Access and create reports using District Reporting system.
  •  
    Point of Contact between Private Schools, Speech Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists.
  •  
    Collect new service only student information and submit data to creats STN information.
  •  
    Ensure Service only student information is in powerschool so it may be uploaded to IIEP
  •  
    Has knowledge or capability to learn the Indiana IEP system to assist in troubleshooting issues
  •  
    Back up on answering phones and front entrance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the administrator.
